About Campaign Buyer
Campaign Buyer reviews the software a performance media buyer runs between the ad click and the sale: ad and affiliate trackers, landing page builders, attribution and measurement tools, and ad-spy software. These are the subscriptions you sign up for and can cancel, the part of the stack you actually choose. We do not cover the ad platforms themselves, or the project and chat apps that come with the job.
Every vendor calls itself the last tool you will ever need. None of them tells you what it is bad at. That gap is the reason this site exists. We read what long-term users report in public threads and review sites, check each vendor's documentation and pricing pages, and verify prices with the vendor before we form a verdict.
How we judge
- Every pick names a weakness, including the one we rank first. A tool with no stated downside is a tool nobody actually used.
- We rank by order, not by a made-up score. No tool earns a 9.2 out of 10 we then have to defend cell by cell. Each pick gets one clear job it is best at.
- Money never moves a ranking. We earn a commission on some links and say which. An affiliate relationship does not buy a place on a list.
Who writes here
Every ranking is written by one named person and signed off by the editorial desk, so a byline resolves to someone accountable rather than to a house name. Dana Rourke is the lead reviewer and owns the tracker and attribution coverage. The desk reviews each page before it publishes. You can read who covers what on the masthead.
