Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and end up paying for the tool, the vendor pays us a share. It costs you nothing. There is no advertising, no sponsored placement and no paid inclusion: a vendor cannot buy a position here, cannot buy a better verdict, and cannot buy the removal of a drawback we have named.
What that money does buy is time. Reading months of threads and review-site history for one tool, working through its documentation and pricing tiers, and checking the current price with the vendor takes days per tool. The commissions pay for those days.
What the money cannot move
Rankings are ordinal and the rubric is published at how we research. Every tool we recommend carries a named drawback, including whichever one we rank first. A recommendation with no stated cost is the clearest sign a page was bought. Where a tool has no affiliate programme at all, we still rank it, and you will find several here that pay us nothing.
Other commercial relationships
Beyond affiliate commissions, we can have other commercial relationships with companies whose tools appear here. None of them changes the rule above: every tool is measured against the same published rubric, every one carries its named drawbacks, and none displaces a tool that beats it on the criteria we publish. Every tool we cover is one click away from its review, so you can check our reasoning against the alternatives yourself.
